The NUREP team receives an award from the EGP Foundation
Silvère Baron and his team “Nurep” received the EGP Foundation Prize, under the aegis of the Fondation de France, for their research on “Nuclear Receptors and Pathophysiology” in prostate cancer.
The award ceremony took place on Thursday, April 17, in the presence of the donors, Éliane and Gérard Pauthier, who have long been committed to supporting medical research.
This year, the award was presented to a team leader based in Clermont-Ferrand, highlighting the recognition given to local research efforts in the fight against cancer. More broadly, it honors all those involved since 2019 in the Clermont Auvergne Cancer Group (Groupe Cancer Clermont Auvergne, GCCA), whose mission is to increase the visibility of cancer research in Clermont and foster synergies between academic researchers and clinicians. The GCCA works to ensure a continuum between basic research and clinical applications in the service of cancer treatment.
